ABOUT US

our organization & board

We are a grassroots organization, ordinary Americans reaching out to help ordinary Ukrainians.  We have no paid staff, we don’t receive any government money, and we will always be much smaller than the big charities.  But we can find and fulfill needs that the larger organizations can’t reach.  And by showing ordinary Ukrainians that ordinary Americans care about them and their children, we are engaging in microdiplomacy–improving relations between our two countries on a small-scale but very personal level.
America Cares for Ukrainian Children, LLC (“AC4UC”), is an Ohio limited liability company whose sole member is The Anastasia Fund, an Ohio nonprofit corporation that has been a Section 501(c)(3) charity for more than 20 years.  For federal income tax purposes, AC4UC is a “disregarded entity,” so AC4UC is The Anastasia Fund.
